Our newest addition to the nursery is Lydia Diane. Please welcome this little darling. She will melt your heart with those big dark eyes and that curly dark brown hair!
As her personality developed I started to fall in love. I call her Lydi as it seems to fit so nicely.
Lydia Diane started out as a Honey kit by Donna RuBert whom is well known with such talent and creativity.
This has been one of my favorite babies to bring to life.
Lydi has beautiful dark blue glass eyes that are so realistic. I purposely left her dark lashes long.
She is about the size of a 2 to 3 month old baby. She is a chunky little thing as you can see in that cute checked little overall set.
It fits her snugly and she looks adorable in it. I love the little shoes that go with it. She is all ready to go outside for awhile.
Underneath that little pink overall is a soft white tee with pink etching. She loves to wear it with a diaper and socks when it is nap time.
Dressing her was such fun! She was so beautiful she needed something very special and unique to bring out the soft coloring and show off that dark curly hair. This delicate soft pink lace gown was designed just for her. The lace is made separately and underneath is a delicate white day gown with cap sleeves with a beautiful embroidered yoke. The fit is perfect!
Those cute thick dark curls are made from high quality angora. I micro rooted picking up only a few strands at a time to achieve realism .
It took me a very long time to finish but I was very happy with the result. She is a Cutie!
Lydi's hair can be gently washed and styled. I have sealed the hair from the inside. She also has a magnet in her head for a few hair bows that will come with her. I love doing her hair!
I used Genesis Heat set paints to create that beautiful skin tone. She has a very soft peaches and cream complexion and the soft mottling technique I used adds to the realism of her "skin." I get very excited as I watch that adorable little girl emerge.
Each of my babies have been created with love and many many hours of work and with each one I fall in love.
Lydia Diane captured my heart totally with her solemn content expression.
She is weighted with glass beads and soft fiber to feel just like a real baby in your arms. You need to support her head and hold her close.
There is very subtle veining and her wrinkles have been highlighted to enhance her in the most realistic way
I think little Lydia Diane is tired and ready for a nap. I hope you enjoyed her photo shoot and I want to thank you for checking in.
Lydi will go home to her new Mommy with all the clothes shown in her photos and a few surprises too! You will enjoy the little magnetic hair bows that will come with her.
Her paci was made specially for her and is also magnetic, she will have it with her on the trip home.
My babies are not toys but heirlooms that can be handed down to your own children to cherish.
Lydi was created with love and a passion for this art form.
Lydia Diane and I had a lovely time and we hope you enjoyed visiting our nursery.
Thank you and please come visit again soon!
