I am very pleased to introduce to you all my adorable Kayla Elizabeth. This little darling started out as “Callie” sculpted by Cathy Rowland. I love Cathy’s sculpts and am proud to have Number 1 of only 300 of this lovely kit.

Kayla Elizabeth and I began her reborning journey using Genesis Heat Set Paints. She has been painted using numerous layers to achieve the most realistic infant “skin.” No detail has been overlooked. Each little wrinkle has been highlighted to enhance the appearance of this darling little baby girl. I did very light veining on her so that you can barely see the hint of veins on her tiny little hands and feet.

I rooted her a few hair at a time with dark brown premium angora mohair with a slight curl in it. I then trimmed it to frame that lovely little heart shaped face. I also rooted her eyelashes very softly and left them a bit long to lie against her cheek while she sleeps. After her manicure and pedicure using a slightly darker skin tone and adding some pink I sealed the nails with a bit of glaze. I added shine to her lips making them appear moist and like a real baby’s lips.

After finishing all the painting and  rooting the hair the best part for me is next! I bathed her and shampooed her hair, as it is sealed from the inside. The sealing process enables the new Mommy to gently shampoo and comb when desired. I also added a magnet inside so that she can have a paci.

The best part of finishing my little Kayla was the photo shoot! I picked clothing that would suit her coloring. I am very blessed to have a best friend that is a seamstress that designs many of my adorable clothes. She also wears newborn size for your information.

The photo shoot was awesome. Kayla and I played all day long. She especially loves the stylish pink party dress and bonnet. We spent some time outside by the azalea bush so that you can see her color in both inside and outside lights. Kayla Elizabeth was a perfect little model for me. She got lots of attention from our neighbors that had to hold her. It is always fun for my babies to be mistaken as real. Kayla and I had fun with that!

It was truly an honor to bring Kayla to “life.” She is ready to find her “Forever Mommy.”

She will come to her new home with her diaper bag packed with her lovely layette and will also bring one of her favorite toys.

Kayla was created to be loved and will be an heirloom that you will cherish for a lifetime! I guarantee that Kayla is one of a kind and that I have used the highest quality supplies in my field. I stand behind my artistry and my integrity on each and every baby that is created in Cradle of Angels Nursery.

I hope you have enjoyed your trip to my nursery. Please take the time to sign my guest book while you are here.
